Ever have one of those moments of, OH NO! I've made a booboo??? Can you relate? For me it's happened so many times with decorating, either wrong paint colors or bad rug decsions, you know those 'easy fixes' but what about with, something expensive and ginormous? You can't just take your receipt and the COUCH back to the furniture store, HA! You guessed it already right?
Can you imagine standing in your living room after the delivery man leaves and saying things like, what was I thinking?! How will I explain to my husband that the vacation money we AGREED to spend on the couch was a booboo!! And how to explain that we might have to climb over the back of couch so we can sit on it....OH LORDY!!!! How did I goof this one up!!! I don't make these kind of booboos!!!
There is tons of room behind the couch, just not enough room to walk on the left side of the couch, and would you look at those seams. We made several trips to Home Goods looking for a very LONG table to put at the back of the couch, never found anything.
As the days went on I became more comfortable about life with this couch, but I couldn't shake that closed in, cramped feeling. My wheels were always turning!
On the good side, we all love the comfort, including Nash! It is exactly what we wanted. It's the perfect spot to read, nap, movie watch, and eat ;)
In walks one of my best friends and she says, "try this here, try that there" then she said, "get your furniture sliders out" lol.
And just like that in 5 mins my struggle was over. Problem solved! That's what friends are for, right?!
Everything looks balanced now and there is plenty of room to walk all the way around the room :)
So thankful for a couple of friends right now. First, the one who helped me figure out what to do with my living room struggle. Friend, if you're reading...Thank You!

That little home tour Stacey did is adorable. I like your kitchen island and those vintage plates are adorable. Blogging can be time consuming, but it is fun too. Hope to see you back.

One was Lavender Hill Studio and the other was The Comforts of Home. Now my blog is called Enjoying The Simple Things. Hope you stop by! https://www.enjoyingthesimplethings.com
Welcome back to blogging from a fellow TN resident. Lovely home, especially your kitchen, & library area. Your dog is the sweetest, and what a great friend to solve your "sofa" dilemma.
