Seems I have the hardest time getting this house all decorated the way I want….or do I….sometimes I just really feel CONTENT and really don’t feel the need to be changing things!  And I have to say….I LOVE CONTENTMENT!!

Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as ye have, for he hath said I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  Hebrews 13:5

DSC08862 I have ideas of things I would like to do, with my home, but it isn’t a priority with me anymore!  Being with my family and friends, being happy and CONTENT is my priority!   It has been my prayer for many months that CONTENTMENT overflow in my life!  And let me say I AM CONTENT!

When I saw this picture, while Christmas shopping……

It spoke to me!!!!!

I fell in love at first sight!  I love angels and I had several angels still packed away that I had before we moved.  I just knew that this picture would provide the inspiration I needed to get me started with GETTING THINGS DONE!

The verse under the wing…says For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.  Psalm 91:11

It still needs to be hung, and I have someone coming, in a couple days,  to finish hanging things that I can’t.  I might change out the candles with some type of floral arrangements, but I’M CONTENT with it just the way it is!

DSC08855 I googled the word CONTENTMENT….and this is what I found…

content 2 (kənˈtɛnt) [Click for IPA pronunciation guide]

mentally or emotionally satisfied with things as they are

assenting to or willing to accept circumstances, a proposedcourse of action, etc

( tr ) to make (oneself or another person) content or satisfied:to content oneself with property

peace of mind; mental or emotional satisfaction

I am so thankful for Gods blessings and for the peace of mind that I have!!!  I’m loving life, from drinking a cup of coffee in the morning to folding that last load of clothes before I go to bed at night!  I am ONE HAPPY GAL!!!

I hope and pray that if you don’t know that peace, that you find it in your life!   It is a peace that passes all understanding!

Blessings!!!!  Nancy

Nancy, I absolutely love this post! That is EXACTLY how I feel right now. I am CONTENT with my home exactly as it is. I moved a few things around after I packed away Christmas; and that is all that I have done. I am content with things just the way that they are. Thus, I haven't had a whole lot to blog!

Hi Nancy,
Good to see your post and thanks for your sweet comments on mine.
Let me say that I know that peace and what a great reminder to be content in whatever state we find ourselves.
I'm determined not to get caught up in the mind set to redo or get something new just because I see it on a blog. It can be a danger because we are so human.
I tell the girls in my decorating class to be patient and don't over extend themselves just to have things.
Thanks for the reminder

Oh Nancy, I just love it when I see a post from you! The artwork is just beautiful and over the fireplace is the perfect spot. I need to learn to be content. Mama always said my middle name was "Want". I need to learn to be happy with what I have now!

Hi Nancy, I hope you are enjoying your new home! It sure is beautiful!! The blue paint is called North Sea. It is acrylic paint by Ceramcoat. I found it at Hobby Lobby. I also used it to paint the little table. I hope you are doing well!! Have a great spring! Kristen

Hi there,
I just happened to read this blog post reminded me that my word for this year has been "contentment"....
Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am". 1 Timothy 6:6-12
Thank you for unintentionally blessing me with your post!!
