Teacup Love

Years ago I use to collect tea cups….I really had waaaay too many and not enough places to keep them…so I scaled way back on them.  I have one tea cup basket, that I just could not part with, when I was clearing out my collection.

DSC07883 Do you see it way over there on the counter top????  Let’s walk on over and take a better look.

DSC07884 It’s the cutest basket…the tea cups are actually ceramic tiles.

DSC07885 I’m not crazy about the basket color…wish it was a darker color….should I try to stain it or let it be???  Either way….it’s a keeper!

DSC08047 I found this floral hook plaque at a thrift store….it was white…{sorry…no before photos….I’m not use to blogging again…lol;) }……I painted it black and did a little sanding to distress it a bit.

DSC08048 Hung a few cups and now I have something else to keep dusted……lot of good it did me to clear out teacups…LOL ;)

Nancy!
You changed your header! It looks so beautiful.
Your kitchen is so gorgeous and I love your sweet teacup basket. I think wicker is pretty easy to paint if you want to make it darker, although it's precious just like it is.:)

Nancy, where have you been? I've missed you! So glad to see you posting again. I love your basket-I've never seen anything like that. I think you must have been cleaning your countertop all of this time, since it is so shiny that I see the reflection of the pretty basket in it! What a pretty cup holder. Your whole kitchen is wonderful, and it is wonderful to have you back in Blogville! laurie

Hi Nancy! Oh, what a precious little basket! If you don't like it that light you could stain it. I've never seen one like it and I just love it. Your kitchen is so beautiful! I'm drooling. Thanks for popping in to say hi.
Be a sweetie,

Hi Friend! I can't believe I missed your posts. We've been to Texas and back then to Chicago and back since last Friday! Busy, busy right now.

I'm so happy to see your pretty kitchen again. Your teacup basket is adorable. I guess you could paint it if you are really wanting to. I think it's great the way it is.

I would love to just go through and change the accessories in my kitchen. They've been the same for too long.

That's such a sweet little basket I can see why you fell in love with it. Painting it might be fun but if I had never done it before I would practice on another basket first to be sure I had my technique down before starting the tea cup basket.

Nancy, your kitchen is beautiful. I love the colors in it. That little basket is very cute. Not sure you could stain it if it isn't real wicker or if it has a shiny finish I don't think it will accept stain. It looks fine like it is anyway. Your cup holder plaque looks great.
