TCB Over! And Refreshed!

She’s BAAAAACK!!!!  And She is REFRESHED!!!

Let me start by saying “THANK YOU” to all of you that have come by checking  on me!  Your comments and emails have meant so much!  You blogging gals are the best!!!!  I have been just fine, but very busy!  Nothing major going on, just lots of little things, and really some days I have done absolutely NOTHING…LOL :) Just enjoying a little R&R!  And, I have to tell you, that I have really enjoyed visiting with all of you during my break….I took my time with visiting and didn’t feel rushed to get around to everyone….do y’all ever feel rushed when you do your visiting…so many blogs to visit and so little time…but during my break, I felt more relaxed….visited when I wanted and for as long as I wanted….I had gotten to the point in my visits that they seemed more of a chore then a pleasure…and such a rush…..I remembered when I first started blogging….what a PLEASURE it was to sit down and just visit….then as my blog grew….I felt the responsibility to visit with everyone….it was more then I could possibly keep up with….unless I never wanted to wear clean clothes and take a shower…..I hope you all understand and maybe you can even relate.  I had to step away and evaluate BLOGGING …..so what is my conclusion…you ask……well, I still love it!!!!  I have put so much time and love into it, not to mention how much I really do enjoy it!!  I never want to forget how I started blogging, and that my friends is because of you all!!!  I was so impressed with the blogs I had spent months visiting before I started my own.  I never want to forget how I enjoyed visiting your blogs and how it always felt like sitting down with a new magazine or decorating book every day!   I use to hurry through my house work…so I could spend the afternoons visiting with you all!  So, thank you all again for all you have meant to me and for standing beside me during my break!   I’m refreshed and ready to BLOG!!!!

Along with my refreshing time…my house has seen some refreshing too!

Warning: you will see lots of Gold in this post….Am I  the only gal that still loves her gold? Probably!

~A Powder Bath Refreshing~

DSC07262 See this pretty mirror….Not so pretty in this powder bathroom to me…..

DSC07272New mirror~Likey…..much better!   Found at Ross a couple months ago.  But as I look at it….It feels like it need something under it….there is quite a bit of space between the mirror and the sink……SO y’all hold that thought!!!!!

DSC07335 Lots of blank, empty walls in this powder room….Y’all know I am NOT a minimalist…but when it comes to my walls…I am always so timid about nailing holes in my walls…..my knees get weak and I break out in a cold sweat when I have to put a nail in the wall…..I am trying to over come…lol ;)

DSC07336 One thing I do love is….Plates on the wall!!!  I never shy away from a pretty plate!

DSC07337 I probably have too many hanging in my house, but they make me happy!

DSC07268 This was the other side of the powder room…..It’s pretty….but…..

DSC07424This is prettier!  Notice the “W” in the picture above it was gold…now it’s black….it really pops now.  I know that table needs to be black also….I’m thinking…..about painting it…. :)

DSC07409 I’ve had these plates for about a year….they were in the kitchen…in a display cabinet. The picture is a new find, from an antique store in Clinton, TN.

DSC07408 When I saw this picture I gasped and knew I had to have it!

DSC07406 I just adore the black and white bunnies.

DSC07414 Need Kleenex!!!!  ;)

Keep holding that thought about the space between the mirror and sink…..

This post is all over the place…lol :)   You would think…It was my first post ever…lol ;)

~Moving on to the kitchen~

corner cabinets 016 Remember this little corner….here’s what it did look like.

DSC07426 Notice anything????   More plates…..told y’all I love ‘em!  Oh, and that iron basket there…..well be full of fruit, someday…;)  It’s taking me for ever to find enough to fill it up…since I am looking for it at yard sales.

DSC07427 Do any of y’all have these plate display racks???  They were at the Dollar Tree several years ago and I bought 3 of them….it was green, but I changed that with a little spray…lol ;)  I hung one in the sun room when I bought them, but the other 2 have been waiting patiently in my storage closet….still have one more to hang.

Have you been holding that thought????

DSC07432 See this BIG platter???  Found it at a pawn shop….for 7$ I never go to pawn shops, but hubby loves them…so while out with him this week we found a pawn shop that had bought out a ton of stuff from Target….I’m talking bedding, lamps, candles, dishes…etc…..My first thought was to write a Bible verse on it and hang it in the kitchen….good idea right?   Holding thought still?????

DSC07435What do you think….doesn’t look to bad does it?!  Seems like a perfect spot…..maybe add a gold “W”?????  Maybe a Bible verse in gold???….maybe a quote in gold….I know, maybe…..Wash Your Hands????? LOL :) …..I’ve been breaking too long, haven’t I… ;)

DSC07441 What would you put on it????

DSC07442Leave me your thoughts. My thoughts…  I wish I would have bought 2 of them….cause I need want one for the kitchen. Shoot Far! :)

I hope you have enjoyed a couple of small and simple changes….I have a few more coming….and I have a BIG GIVE coming soon….y’all will love IT!!!!!   Stay tuned for more details!!

I want to leave you all with a quote I read, in a book, that I will be sharing with you soon…..

If you love life you will never squander your time, for time is the stuff that life is made of.

Enjoy your weekend!!!  Blessings to you all!

This has been one strange post….thank you for staying with it!!! LOL ;)

I love your little vignettes! My first thought with the tray was to use some of those vinyl letterings available, whether you do an initial or some cute and clever saying relevant to a bathroom, maybe even a crown {although then the tray would work better over the toilet than sink - crown - "throne", okay, I don't need to explain that one!}. Curious to see what you do with it now.

Love all you have done!! Very creative. I think you should write cleanliness is next to Godliness on your platter LOL!

Oh, Mrs.Nancy, I'm so glad you're back. I've missed seeing all the beautiful things you've created in your home. I love your bathroom, and the little tray is just perfect. How about "If you sprinkle while you tinkle, please be sweet and wipe the seat!" haha I'm of course kidding; however, I imagine living with 2 boys and 1 husband, it might not be a bad idea! :) All kidding aside, I think a "W" would look great on the tray. I know whatever you choose will be perfect!

~WELCOME BACK MISS NANCY!!!~

Yes! I do understand for sure. Sometimes I visit and comment on so many blogs in a row that my back aches so badly it's not even funny. I get lost in Blogland and have to remind myself to step away.
Like you I just love it and all the friends I have made. Sigh.

All of your decorating updates are beautiful! I do adore gold! Your new finds are all so lovely.

I would write someting simple like ~Welcome~ or ~Biennvue~ or you can't go wrong with a "W" or maybe even your last name with "Est. and your wedding year". ~Good Luck!

~Blessings, ~Melissa :)

Nancy, it is so good to see you back! I completely understand the need to step away for awhile. I've promised myself, from the beginning, to do just that, when blogging becomes a chore.

I love what you've been doing, during your break. Absolutely beautiful!! Melissa, at The Inspired Room is hosting Fall Nesting, next week. Your projects are perfect for that event! Of course, as you know, I will have a couple of little things going on.:-)

Again, it's wonderful to see you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Nancy, welcome back!
Where do I begin? You posted so many new and cute things.
I love the tray in the bathroom. Looks great under the mirror. I just bought a mirror that I posted a while back almost like that one. Love it.
I have several plate racks similar to yours. Love them, too.
You did a great job placing all your new items.
Have a great weekend.

So great to see you back! And you are really back! What lovely changes you have made. I enjoyed seeing all of them so much. You've inspired me to go find a pretty tray to put behind my sink. I'm thinking humor for mine: fancy letters that say "Don't Forget to Wash Your Hands-It's the law", as if it were a restaurant bathroom. Visiting blogs does feel a responsibility that is takingup way too much of my time. I've started visiting a few a day and going back to read any posts I've missed on those few. I just can't visit all of them every time they post. laurie

I would put a border around the inside oval of leopard and maybe a smaller band of zebra with a band of red between them and then a black and white bunny in the center.
