Shoes are the first adult machines we are given to master~Nicholson Baker

shoes book

Miss Phyllis really shares her life in this fantastic, charming, and funny book! You will see a little of what it is like to walk in Miss Phyllis’s shoes! Through her life experiences of blessings, and even trials…from her slippers she wore when her twins were born to the sacrifice her mother made for her. She also takes us down our own memory lane of our own lives….that’s what I like best about this book….with every chapter, you will remember and relate a special day, or memory with “shoes”….you just won’t believe how your mind will start to flow with memories, and shoes you hadn’t thought about in years! From our young girl days to our mothering memories! Remember playing dress up…or grown up with your Momma’s high heel shoes? Remember wanting and begging for those first pair of high heels!!! Remember, those cheerleading shoes, and all the memories that come with those….whew! Remember your wedding shoes….talk about memories!!!! Well, I’ll give it all away, if I’m not careful!

I don’t know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot~ Marilyn Monroe

Miss Phyllis, also talks about how well dressed Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana was….even down to the shoes on their feet! At the end of each chapter there is a history lesson about “shoes”…things I didn’t know!!!!! Like Spike Heels, Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers, Kitten Heels, and more!

phyllis Phyllis is the president of Hoffman Media.

Want your own Honey It’s All In The Shoes? You know you do!!! You deserve to treat yourself to this wonderful book! Would also make a great Christmas gift…which by the way, will be here before we know it!!!!! Well, don’t wait any longer….

Nancy, this sounds so fun, I would love to win that book! In fact, I bought two new pairs of shoes today. As I told the lady at the shoe store, "I find flip-flops to be my preferred footwear, but as a Pastor's wife I really need to wear shoes to church." I love shoes, always have, always will. That is why I was envying you your gorgeous sandals that you were showing off a few days ago. You just can't find such sumptuous wear here in Canada, we are behind in some important areas!! Anyway, enter me in the draw. And thank you so much for coming by my blog and commenting on my porch table and chairs! You are a sweetie and I am one of your loyal blog followers. Hugs ~cindy s~

Ah, the cheerleading shoes! Actually, mine were white go-go boots for drill team. I was so proud to wear them!

Thanks for the sweet words of encouragement on the house-building saga. I needed that.

I love those magazines! Victoria has been one of my all time favorites. I could sit for hours and read it and look at the beautiful photos. I was so happy that the magazine came back after years. I had subscribed years ago and so I immediately started buying my new copies.

I'll definitely be back tomorrow.
