Happy Pink Saturday

GOOD MORNING Y’ALL!  It’s Saturday!!!! YAY! Why is it I’m up with the birds on Saturday morning…but all the other day’s it’s sooooo hard to get out of bed!  I do love Saturday mornings, I love to sit in my sunroom and listen to natures music, I love the way the sun shines through the window and and creates beautiful works of SHADOW ART on my walls, and I LOVE PINK Saturdays!!!!!

pink sat

I am so excited to participate in Pink Saturday this week over at How Sweet The Sound with Beverly, who always host this fun event!   I have had a PINK week!  That’s right…first, my Crepe Myrtle is blooming all beautiful and PINK, and then my Mom blessed me with some heavenly smelling PINK cologne.

DSC07178 I have just had a ball this week with these cuttings from my Crepe Myrtle.  I always wait until the branches at the bottom of the CM have bloomed before I trim it up for the Summer!  So this was the week to do that…and I thought……why not make a Pretty PINK  bouquet out of them, and share them with you!

DSC07180 Here’s something new to me~from my Mom.  It’s Pyjama Lily by Maryilyn Miglin.  Is it pink or what?!

DSC07190 OH, and it smells so clean and powdery….very soft too!

DSC07186 Have you heard of Maryilyn Miglin….she is one of the nations top 500 business owners.  She sells her beauty products on HSN.

DSC07182 This is just so pretty and I am really enjoying it!!  Thanks MOM!

DSC07184Pink Crepes are my favorite….well, anything pink is my favorite!

DSC07165 I’m going to spend the rest of my weekend finishing up this wonderful book.  Don’t you just love the title…not to mention the beautiful colors!

Hope y’all have a wonderful Pink Saturday! To see more Pretty Pinks head on over to How Sweet The Sound and enjoy!  I’ll be around later today….I’m going to a couple of yard sales this morning!

Blessings to you all!

I love your crepe myrtle, I wonder if it grows up north here in Michigan? I don't know anyone who grows it. The cologne with it makes a pretty vignette, and I love the container you have the flowers in. Happy pink saturday:>)

Hi Nancy, I never thought about picking my Crepe Myrtle flowers and putting them in a vase! I have always admired them but I never thought about the vase! Thanks for that idea. Do you know how long they last in the vase?

I just love it when you post the garden flowers. It is a sign of what will be happening up north in a few weeks. Our crepe myrtle has no flowers yet and I am sooo looking forward to it.

What a pretty post. Your crepe myrtles are gorgeous. Ours are just begining to bloom. I never cut them - great idea! Can't wait to hear what you have to say about that book. :)

I hadn't thought to cut a big blossom off the crepe myrtles (pinks and white). But mine are so tall I'd have to get a big ladder. Don't think that would work in a steel boot! Love yours though!

Our crepe myrtles are blooming, too, and I've never thought of cutting some for a vase. Thanks for the great idea.

I hope you enjoyed your day.

What beautiful pinks you have! I cut a few pink crepe myrtles today for a bouquet of my own. I just love visiting your blog, as I always glean so much inspiration.

I've even been trying my hand at tassel making after gawking at your gorgeous ones. I've posted a picture of my first tassel on my blog today. Perhaps you can take a look at it and give me some pointers. Don't worry, I'm not going to be selling them online and taking away your business! :)It's just for personal decorating.

Thanks again for all your inspiration. Also, thank you for introducing me to The Foggelman Family blog! You're right...it is just the cutest! And Brittany and I have found out that we live very close to one another (both in North Alabama). Thanks for all you do! We love you in blogland, and I have no doubt you're just as precious in person!

Oh nancy, how I love crepe myrtles. They just remind me of my childhood, living in VA. We also used to grow them when we lived in OK, but can't here in the midwest.

Such pretty pictures on this post! :)

Hope you are thoroughly enjoying that fun looking book!

Oh, how I love your crepe myrtle. One of our old houses had a yard full of them -- in pink! -- and I still miss them. I need to get some again as they do very well here in Virginia. By the way, I love your Frenchy vase! I've got a couple of yellow buckets in that same design, but I've not seen the vase.

The new perfume sounds divine!

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

You've made a wonderful arrangement in that table of yours :-) It looks really lovely. And while your enjoying reading your magazine (which seems really fun to read), you get to smell the fragrance nearby :-)

Happy Pink Weekend!
