Girls, it has been one of those weeks!!! But, the one thing I kept looking forward to was Friday’s Flaunt Your RED! So let’s get started~
Meet Gloria~ That’s right this sofa has a name and she is named after none other then our very own bloggy gal, Gloria over at Happy To Be! Gloria has asked begged, for this sofa, from our RMS days! She ask me a while back to show more of it, so I decided to Flaunt it, for Flaunt Your RED! Oh, and if you have never met the REAL Gloria…then make this the day to go over and visit with her….you’ll be glad you did!
Gloria sits at attention in our Great Room~
She is full of fluffy, gorgeous pillows~
Too pretty for a house full of boys…lol ;)
She is adorned with gorgeous trims!
You can see her from all directions of our house~
I have thought about putting a table behind her, but it would cover up her beauty~
She makes a quite spot to sit and read a book or watch a movie~
You see her first thing when you enter the front door~
This is standing with my back to the kitchen and sunroom~
This is her designer and maker~
A few more REDS in the Great Room area~
A RED Bible from my Mom, when I was 11 years old~
A RED family Bible, that belonged to Hubby’s grandparents~
A RED ribbon dresses up a topiary~
A RED Hymn book bought at a yard sale~
And, a cute little bear wearing a RED dress on the other table~

Hi Nancy, I've always admired that couch. It is something I would pick. Love the design and colors and matching pieces. Your home is gorgeous.
Your red couch is very cool! I can understand why you wouldn't want to put anything behind it since it would cover up her beauty.
This is my first time participating in Flaunt Your Red but I had so much fun finding photos to post of red. Thank you for hosting this one.
WOW I absolutely love that stunning couch errrr Gloria!! BEAUTIFUL and looks really comfy too! I could definitely get lost in a book sitting on her!♥
Pretty pretty pretty post!!!
Nancy, my friend, Gloria is to die for! I'm always trying to catch glimpses of her and wondered when she would be featured properly. Your whole family room is absolutely beautiful. I know what you mean about living with boys...they will put up with any amount of lace and trim for their moms though...right? My husband often says that there's no sign that guys live here. Your built ins are really pretty too.
You know I'm just dying for not participating in the flaunt today. My computer still hasn't been returned. I just hate to invade Spencer's laptop with my pictures and everything. Trying to wait patiently. Now it's time to visit some other lovers of red. :)
Oh Miss Nancy! Gloria is beautiful! Thanks for sharing her lovely curves with us and for hosting FYR!
Oh Nancy!!! I am in love with your sofa too...I think her name should be changed to Cathy;)!!! How beautiful!!! Her curves...her fabric...her trim...her pillows...

Well hello Miss Gloria you sure are a pretty little thing !!!

Brenda

Be still my heart!
Nancy that is the most beautiful red divan that I have ever laid eyes on. The whole room is absolutely gorgeous. Loved the tassels, they are just the icing on the cake. Loved your southern grammar lesson. I have 7 grandchildren and the all say ya'all. They have all be corrected in school. One of the things that I say all the time, that I didn't notice, was I was always taught to say, "Thank you kindly". I have even my DIL saying that now. A southern gal just rubs off on you, ya know? I am in Phoenix, have been for 23 years. Was born in Charelston, South Carolina. When Daddy got out of the military we lived in Oklahoma as that is where both sets of parents lived. My husband and our jobs brought us to the valley, but I will always be a southern gal at heart. Love your Post. Please stop by and say hello at Country Wings in Phoenix. "Country Hugs", Sherry
That sofa is SOOOO beautiful!! I found you through Stacey @ Poofing the Pillows. Thank you for hosting such a fun event!

Nancy, that is one GORGEOUS sofa!!! Oh my, it makes me wonder how I could upholster something along that line...hmm. I love your house, it is sooo pretty, everything looks so picture perfect. Thanks for a look! And, thank you so much for commenting on my new blog. You are so sweet! Hugs, ~cindy s~
I can't wait to show off my red! I love your page. I just want to add that I had the extreme pleasure of living in the south, in Florence, AL, for 3 years. My husband is from there, and I've just got to say that it was everything I thought it would be -- hospitable, charming, gentile, historical, and so much more. I miss so much about it. We're now in So. CA (where I'm from) and my husband is having a hard time adjusting. Can't say that I blame him. Anyway, I'll be a regular at your page...will make me feel a little bit like I'm still there. :-) Thanks for your beautiful page!
I don't believe I have EVER seen such a beautiful sofa. All the different patterns, the trims, the curves..Oh My !!
Thanks so much for showing a photo of it...
