Let me first say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Stacey at Poofing the Pillows for hosting May’s Flaunt Your RED! Stacey, you just don’t know how much I appreciate what you did! I really appreciate all you RED Flaunters that participated to! The next Flaunt will be June, 26th. Post it on your blog and invite all your readers! We will be Flaunty all day…LOL :)
Girls, I have been busy as a BEE around here, feel like I need another vacation…lol :) I have…..unpacked, done laundry, cleaned the house(we left 1 son home…so I had to clean when we returned home), done laundry, opened mail, paid bills (with the money I had left from vacation…lol ;), done laundry, pulled weeds….(why do weeds take over when you’re gone? ;), bathed the dogs, grocery shopping, washed the car, and done laundry….LOL :) Oh, and we celebrated our 23rd Anniversary on Sunday, June 7th.
So FINALLY~Where OH Where have my little feet been???
The back porch of our cottage~ but my feet are not so little anymore~ A little too much sun and needing a pedicure BAD!
Back HOME! Feet propped up, wearing my favorite robe and a fresh pedicure! And, might I add, There is No Place Like Home!
Where did we STAY~
Willow Tree Cottages and Camping Resort. Link Here.
Willow Tree is 13 miles WEST of Cherry Grove Beach, SC. It is surrounded with acres of wooded land. Loaded with deer and everything nature has to offer.
The following pictures are taken at Willow Tree~
This is the back side of the office and store. The front looks just like the back.
Looking from across the other side of the lake….our cottage was the first one on the left.
The boat dock on the far left, behind the bridge. The office and pool. The exercise room, laundry room, and game rooms. The building on the far right is the banquet hall.
Notice the track….it goes all the way around and is 1 mile.
Creatures everywhere! ;) I almost squished this little fella one night. :0)
First time I have ever seen a Eucalyptus TREE! We have been to Willow Tree many times, and this was the first time I noticed this! As you can see…..
People have helped their selves to this tree.
The bridge~ Which has become famous for Wedding Photos!
Let’s take a look at that sign~
OOOH, That is a picture of my MAN holding a Large Mouth Bass he caught out of the lake at Willow Tree. Weighing 9 pounds. Yes, 9! Caught in 2004.
This is a catch and release lake, but that fish ended up dying from the stress, so my MAN was able to keep it…It now hangs in our house….LOVELY! lol :)
What did we DO~
My Southern MAN fished and fished!!! He’s a pro…lol :)
Told you he’s a pro…lol Count the rods here…3 in the water, 1 getting ready for the water, and 1 laying on the ground, waiting it’s turn. :)
What I did~
I took pictures, of this good looking hunk!
Went to Cherry Grove Beach…..LOVE this beach! As you can see, it’s not a crowed beach! This was about 11:30AM, and there was not hardly a soul on the sand!
As you know, this was so relaxing to just lay on the beach…so quite, noting but the roar of the ocean and the crashing waves. Oh, it was heaven!
Around 12:30 there wasn’t a soul to be found~EXCEPT……
This (somewhat) good looking lifeguard!LOL :) Not sure why the state of SC pays him to do this, but I’m glad they did….LOL :)
Up next~ we will go shopping and house peeking!
I want to thank every for being so patient with me! I really appreciate every visit and comment! Blessings to you all!

I love your cute pedi!! :) Glad you had a wonderful vacation!
What a fabulous vacation! I love the little cottage you stayed in....so neat and cute! Also, I am having beach envy of everyone going to the beach. We don't have a close one but I would LOVE to go and look for seashells. That one looks delightful being so deserted.
Oh Girl, I am soooo jealous!!
Looks like a great time had by all!
I bet your hubby keeps Brass Pro in Kodiak in business!!
Hi friend! Did you like my message earlier today? We missed you!
It was fun seeing your pictures of you and the men. Looks like a great time away from home. Your little cottage was cute!

Your little nest looked cozy and the the surroundings awesome!
When we were in NC a few weeks ago and the Ocean looked and was angry! I glad she behaved for you! :-)
Your trip looked fun and loved the fish pictures. Love your pedicure!

I was at South Myrtle while you were at Cherry Grove. We should have gotten together. Isn't Cherry Grove a great beach? The place you stayed is beautiful. If you are ever back down there and want a good burger, try 5 Guys!!! There are 4 of them in the Myrtle Beach area. My cousin's son runs them. Great burgers and hand cut French fries! Love & blessings from NC!
Bless your heart! I know you are double-dog tired :O) Looks like ya'll had a fabulous time. Can't wait for the shoppin' pics!

Your vacation looks like such fun! And I love the little frogs.
Happy Anniversary to you and your DH!
oh goodness! This Muse needs a vacation ...lol...and if this is as close as it gets..I am thrilled...what a lovely post from beginning to end!
Now pass the worms and let's get to fishing!
Looks like you had a wonderful time of rest and relaxation. Your hubby is quite the fisherman. We have a bass mounted on our wall but it's only 5 lbs. I'll have to show my hubby the 9 pounder.
I wonder how far you were from me. I'm in SC 3 hrs. from the ocean. I'll have to look up that beach. It looks lovely there.
It's me again. I wanted to say Happy Anniversary!
Nancy, I am just so jealous! What a beautiful place, and those cute little cottages, and that wonderful deserted beach! Your photos are so pretty. How great that your husband's picture stays on that board! That is some fish! I guess since ya'll are kind of celebs at this place! Okay, you're home now. Come on down off of that cloud, and mix with us normal folks. Glad you had such a wonderful trip (I just wish it had been me!) I also want to thank you for the lovely comment you left in my posting of my family room. I've read it several times now, because it was so special. You sure know how to make somebody feel good. laurie
Miss Nancy...sounds like y'all had a wonderful trip! Love the little cottage:) Looking forward to more photos!
Nancy, Great pictures and a beautiful place to spend some time, but I understand coming home and sometimes wonder was it really worth it.
