~More Of The French Twist Cottage~

Have y'all enjoyed seeing Kelly's home?! Don't you all think it is beautiful?! Do you want to see some of the changes that Kelly has made lately? I do and I am sure you do! Kelly sent me a few updated pictures. All the pictures are clickable except for one. This is that gorgeous sitting room~ here she took down the mirror that was hanging there and put up this stunning shelf/hutch! She also changed out the lamp and added the cloche (did I spell that right?) ;)
Look at the paper she has put behind the cabinet....I need to do this!!!!
Here in the kitchen, she has been working on scaling back a bit....don't we all go through moments when we feel we need to do that?! I do, and then I take it to consignment to make money and buy more...I think sometimes we just get tired of seeing the same "stuff" all the time.

Here's that cabinet she added the paper behind. Love the RED!

Remember the mirror that was hanging in the sitting room ( you can see it in the post below) well, it's got a new home, here in the bedroom! Love that change!!!!

Oh, I love this table! This corner has become a wonderful little sitting nook!

Here she changed out the lamp shade....Don't you love the RED! I ask her where she found the red shade and she told me Hobby Lobby....why didn't I know that already, that place is my second home! I am heading there ASAP to find me one! :)

A pillow change here! What I would really like to see is more of those gorgeous curtains! She told me, She used the Nester's mistreatment method on these.
I received some emails about her slip covers~ Here is what Kelly said about them....I got the chair covers for the dining and kitchen at Target many years ago. They are by Waverly. The slipcovers on the furniture in my living room are by Pottery Barn and Target. The one on the sofa and the red one on the armchair is from Pottery Barn.
The following is words from Kelly~
I've been enjoying the comments received so far on your blog. It's been alot more fun to read than the ones I received on RMS! Some of those comments are nit picky and not always nice. I've come to find out that alot of other people share that same experience. It seems if you're not modern and minimalist with your decor, you don't always get good ratings. I sure do appreciate you featuring me on your blog. It has been a fun experience.
Well Kelly, We sure do appreciate you sharing your home with us! It has been a pleasure to feature your gorgeous home! I just can't stop looking at the pictures myself! I kind of hate to see these two post move on down the line, because they sure have made my blog look pretty for a few days... ;) Your home makes us all smile :) Keep those pictures coming!!!
A little news to share~ If you have enjoyed Kelly's home...then hold your horses, cause next week I will be featuring Kelly's sister, Kim's Home! It's to die for too!!!
I haven't forgot about the Living with Color 3....but I can do that some other time....I gotta little side tracked this week... ;)
Thank you all for stopping by today! Feel free to leave a comment....Kelly and I love to read them!

Kelly's house really is lovely, tell her to never mind what they say on RTS, I have not heard alot of good about their comments. You are right though, she should start herself a blog. I would visit every day!! Now for you, you promised to do a post from the "Marriage Retreat" that you and your hubby went to a while back, did I miss them, or have you gone on to other things instead? I would really like for you to do a post on that. Pretty please, with sugar on top?? My husband is an Apostolic Pastor and that is something we face daily with couples, and it seems that we have so few really good resourses. Anyways, love your blog and enthusiasm, ttyl. Hugs, ~cindy s~

Hey Nancy, I too keep going back and looking at those pictures over and over again- I got so many ideas and such inspiration from them, just as I have from your home. Now i'm going to go shoot an email to Hobby Lobby and beg them to build one near me! LOL!!

Ginny said...

I really loved her home. Could you ask her where she finds all her accessories? By the way, I love your blog also!

Kelly said...

Hi Ginny! I get my accessories from so many different places. Places I love to shop are Hobby Lobby, consignment stores, antique/thrift stores, Target, Parsons, Outrageous Interiors etc. Sometimes I find unique things at "mom & pop" type shops too. I live in GA. (north of Atlanta) and I'm blessed to have alot of good shops near me. Thanks for asking.

Kelly said...

Ginny, I almost forgot another important place I shop....Southern Living at HOME. How can I forget??! I'm a consultant. Also, I like Home Goods and Tuesday Morning.

I thought it was every week so i hustled around taking photos of red.
No problem if i'm early. I just got another cute display put together for the shop. =0)
Maybe I'll show those anyway, or just go back to reading your blog.

Can't wait to see what you'll be posting in the future! God Bless! Lauralu :)

Hi Nancy/Kelly,

I came back to gawk again lol, I wanted to ask where you got that shelf/hutch I am looking for something like that to display dishes...also I love the chair covers/DR did you have them made ???

Thanks a bunch,
Kathy :)

Sue said...

Kelly's home is so pretty. Thanks for sharing more pictures of it.

Kelly said...

To the person who asked about my wall hutch and the DR chair covers, I got the wall hutch at an antique store (the kind with a bunch of booths) near my hometown. If you live near me in GA I can direct you to some good shops. Ha! The DR chair covers are from Waverly. I bought them at Target many years ago. They are a very popular pattern called Vintage Rose (I think). Thanks for your questions. Good luck finding a hutch. Antique/thrift style stores might have just what you're looking for!
