~I'm Fluffing My Spring~

YAAAAY! I am ready to Fluff some Spring! I didn't know if I would have time, but I am so glad I get to join the fun! Rhoda at Southern Hospitality is hosting a Spring Fluffing party. So come on.... and Fluff with the rest of us! Here's a sneak peak at a Spring Tablescape I have been working on for a loooong time now! I hope to have it ready for this Thursday's Tablescape but no promises! Maybe I shouldn't say ~looong~ time because it sure doesn't look like it...lol ;)
All pictures are clickable.
The green dishes are new. Straight from the $ Tree! So are the napkins...well, they are really dish towels...but they make the best napkins for a buck, they're big and they have alot Fluff!

This is actually the same center piece I used last year. I am thinking about painting that cart black....what do y'all think...yay or nay?

The bunny came from Wal-Mart many years ago. I have used him inside and outside for Easter, and so far he hasn't hopped off, somewhere else...guess he likes those carrots he gets from me every year...heehee;)
This is the cutest lamp shade! I always look forward to getting it out. I keep it out through Summer!

It is so whimsical....it has the sweetest ladybugs, flowers, bees, butterflies and dragon flies on it. I think I bought it at Marshalls several years ago, but it would be easy to make one.

While I was taking this picture...I decided to change this vignette around....never happy with the way things look, I tell ya!

I think I like it better now.....Oh, I forgot to add a ribbon around that topiary....oh well, I can't do everything!
This next vignette is one of my favorite...it's simple but I looove it! The Bunny Lamp! I leave it out all year...cause y'all do know that bunnies are not just for Easter...don't you?! I do put it in another room until Spring, it is one of the first things I pull out.

I set Him in the hallway just off from the foyer.

He gets to set front and center through Spring and Summer.

Gotta have some green moss balls for Spring and Summer!

The next vignette is sentimental to me!!!! Click on pictures to enlarge and see the details.
Easter has ALWAYS been a big deal to me....almost as much as Christmas, and it was even special to me as a child! There aren't any words I can give you that describes my feelings about Easter and Spring! but..... It's a new beginning for everything! It's a time of the year that I welcome with as much anticipation as Christmas! Everything feels fresh, clean and new in the Spring!
I said all that to say..............................

You bet your bottom dollar you will see Family Easter Pictures sitting around my house this time of year! I have EVERY Easter picture from 1985 through 2008 sitting somewhere in my house right now! You can see some of them in this vignette! I will spare you and not show you all 23 years... ;) There has never been an Easter since we were dating that we didn't have a picture made.

Most of them have not been professional pictures, but rather pictures taken at Church.

In this vignette there are 6 different Easter pictures here. :) The large picture in the back is Me and the Mister our very first Easter....we were dating...that was 1985. My dad took that picture. He was a professional photographer for TVA for close to 30 years. I felt like I lived in a photography studio, when I was at home! He always had a camera in his hand and in my face...lol ;) Looking back, I am glad he did! We had some wonderful pictures made over the years!
I love to look back over my Easter pictures! I can just about remember every single Easter ever! Those picture have helped jar the memory a little... ;)

You won't see alot of the cutesy bunny decor around here { I do like that stuff} but instead you will see the Easter Memories still living in my heart...through pictures! Yeah, I know.....decorators all say...put the pictures away! Well, we live here....it's our home, our memories...and not a show house....and I wouldn't take one picture down for nothing!!!!
I guess about right now, some of you might need a tissue or a barf bag...well, hopefully not a barf bag! I do hope you have enjoyed my Spring Fluff! I've not even begin to Fluff the outside yet, but I hope to do a little to the porch soon!
I can't wait to see all the Spring Fluff...going on....I know some of y'all will have some more inspiration for me to copy...lol :)
I want to thank our wonderful host Rhoda for hosting such a wondrful party~Don't forget to Hop on over to Rhoda's and join in the fun!

I love your pictures Nancy! And for the cart, I like it natural, but black would be fine too.

I thought I'd take some shots of my Easter decorations and share as it got closer, but I have nothing compared to you Sister!

Looks great! We dont have a dollar store around by me, so I really miss it. In the summer when we go to our trailer there is a dollar store in that town and a very nice one so I get all kinds of goodies then.
Your home as always is beautiful, your tastes and style are wonderful.

How neat that you have gotten pictures every year for Easter.

Nancy, love all your vignettes and your tablescape is so cute. I am going to have to check out our dollar store. What great finds. I think the wheelbarrow would be cute black to really pop against the napkins or green would be cute, too. We have to display family photos or our home wouldn't be a home, now would it!!

First off, I am so excited to learn about the napkins from the $ store!!!! I was so admiring them in the photo and how the coordinated with the ribbon and then I got to below the pic and read that they were from the $ store!! Yeah! I love cute and thrifty!!
Secondly - what a great idea to pull out Easter pictures from the past and frame them for the season! We do Christmas photos -your right. How more precious are the Easter ones! Good thinking! I believe I will be borrowing (and putting to good use) that family tradition you have!

As always, your home looks magazine worthy. I love all your sweet touches of Spring and those bunnies might just come up missing ;)

I agree on having pictures around, but I disagree that your home isn't a show place. With or without pictures it undeniably is a showplace and a gorgeous one at that!

Nancy, I enjoyed looking at your green dishes so much (love them with the black check) that I ran over to our Dollar Tree. I found the dishes but they were so washed out looking, not like your pretty green ones. Did you have to dig through the pile to find good ones? When I look at your table again, I just want to go try again... Beautiful!

I do like the idea of painting the card black, but then i am in the mood for black, and for green, and black and green together.

Those colors will actually be the start of the display for the store next week. Then i will gradually turn it into just Spring colors. Oh, i went on too much.

Anyway, looking forward to flaunt your red Friday if i can get my pics to load.

Blessings, and great job on your table.
