~Cottage With A French Twist~

I confess, I have been back to RMS! I know...when we start blogging we take that oath to stay away from there ;)....but I did it! I went back to (just) look around, and look what and who I found. I think I have a twin sister! This lady is just like me in tooooo many ways! Her style (just like me), her family (she has 2 boys, just like me), she's southern (me too), she loves to take her stuff to consignment so she can buy new (me too!), she loves to use touches of animal print (me too!)....Y'all get the picture here.....so how do I tell this woman, that we must be twins...and how do I get her to give me permission to post her GORGEOUS home on my blog....well, I just ask her in a comment I left her on RMS. She sent me an email right back and said she would be thrilled to have me feature her home, and guess what, she has been visiting my blog for a while and already knew me....How exciting!!!! I went right to work on getting this post ready! I first thought I would do 2 post, because there are so many pictures, but I couldn't do that to you all or myself! I have posted most all of her pictures with an exception or her Christmas decor and her son's room. I hope you all fall in love with her home every bit as much as I did! Oh, and check out all the REDS she uses (me again!) This is where we begin~ The foyer~ notice in the picture above and below, how she has changed out a few things...don't we all love to do that?
I'm drooling people over that rug!!! It's animal print with a little whimsy! Oh My!

Look at that bench.....does that say come in and sit a spell or what?! Lets go look at the room back there...........

What's not to love about this Living Room?! She said the furniture is slipped covered....easy to remove and wash up!!!! Have you noticed she looooves Roosters?!
Same room as above, but with brighter lighting. I love all the pine furniture!!! Love how she has used the reds and greens together....My favorite combination!!!

I have never seen anyone paint the molding frame black! Just look how it beautifully Frames the whole room!!! Who would have thought about that!!!!!! I love it! Now, If I can talk my hubby into this idea....that's a challange, I 'm not sure I'm up to ;)!! I think it works so well here because she has those beautiful transom windows there! This is what she calls the sitting room!
It's cottage with a french touch! I love it! Some of the antiques in her home belonged to family!!! I love that oak piece sitting there!!!!

Oh!! GASP, GASP!!!! It is gorgeous....the dining room!!!!

Have I said how Gorgeous this home is???? ;)

The breakfast room~ Notice the black doors!!!!! I am loving this idea!!! Just looks at those chairs, the chandi with the leopard shades...Oh, do you see the tassel hanging there.....I told you we must be sisters!

Notice how she placed the table on an angle~ :)

Looking the other direction you see the kitchen.....oh, just wait until you see the kitchen!

So warm and cozy! Love the red toile with the green placemats!!! We will get back to the kitchen later....let's move into the....

Bedroom~ Love it! Love the soft colors with a twist of brown on the windows! Love the pillow collection too!

This is a beautiful bathroom! Love all the gold...yeah, I am probably the only gal that still loves her gold! It's classic and will never go out!

Check out her view out that window! Looks peaceful!
I am drooling over that rug!!!! It's so pretty!!!!!

The rest of the kitchen! I know there is a lot of eye candy in here! Take your time and let it all sink in! It's worth it!

Well, what did y'all think...was it love at first sight for you too, need to go back and look again....I have several times! You can also visit with her home here on RMS. As of yet, she doesn't have a blog...but she needs one! Kelly, if you ever want to start one...let me know and I will give you a shout out! I also want to thank you for letting me feature your gorgeous home! I will be following you on RMS and when I see changes, I will post them here! It is just stunning and You have done a wonderful job decorating it!

OMG! Nancy, I'm so humbled by all the nice comments everyone has left on your blog about my home. Thank you to everyone who has been so kind. You are much nicer than the RMS viewers. Ha! I have made a few changes to my home since these pictures were taken and feel nervous about your approval now that everyone has been so kind about these pictures. I edited a few things in my kitchen (for the better) and bought a new irish pine wall hutch to hang over my chest in the sitting room (in place of the mirror). The mirror moved up to my bedroom. A few minor changes occurred there also. I'll take some pics and send them directly to you Nancy. You'll be the first to see them. Ha! Thank you for being the sweet person you are and sharing my home with the "blog world". My hubby says (after seeing this) I should start a blog. I'm thinking about it. I'll let you know if I decide to. I would definitely need help getting started.

Nancy and Kelly,

I have drooled over this home on RMS also! Kelly is a girl after our heart! Love the colors, the roosters, the beadboard, the pillows, the positioning of the furniture, all of it. I also really like that there's alot going on but it's not too crowded.

Kelly I have or have at least tried to leave you messages on RMS before. I'm not always successful...you know they expect you to remember a code! I was so excited to see these pics because I remember being frustrated that I couldn't double click on the RMS pictures and see them bigger.

Thank you to both of you for sharing this gorgeous home. Now Kelly, get that blog going. :)

Hello, I am Kelly's sister and you should see her home in person. It is much better than the photos. She and I have a love for decorating. We have a lot of the same tasted in decor yet my house is more traditional with some country french and cottage accents in some rooms. I was so glad for Kelly when she emailed me to tell me her rooms were being posted. I know she is very honored...Kim
