Here's a candy recipe that you will love, if you like coconut. A friend of mine made me this candy back at Christmas, and I told her I had to have the recipe! The first time I ate this stuff....I almost made myself sick :( I ate so much. I made some on Valentines Day to give to my Valentines... ;) I forgot to take pictures of every step....you see, My son had some of his friends (like 20 of them) over when I was making this candy....I couldn't think clearly with all them youngins around, so that's why I forgot to take some of the pictures. lol :)
This was all that was left, by the time I remembered to take pictures of the finished recipe. ;)
Not all the ingredients are pictured here...so here is the list14 oz bag of coconut
1 stick of softened butter {not melted}
1 and a 1/2 boxes of powdered sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 bag of milk chocolate chips
1 bag of dark chocolate chips
1/2 of paraffin block.
Start with your bag of coconut and add the softened butter.
I just went ahead and used my hands.....so that the butter and coconut was mixed good....that's the best way to do it! :) Oh, and then you get to lick you fingers off....Yummy!!! Then....

My grandmother called this candy Martha Washington candy. She used to make it all of the time. Looks wonderful.

Oh...girl! My dear, sweet (how I miss her more each day) grandmother always made those at Christmas. Thanks for the reminder!!! You are the bestest! LOL (((hugs)))
Snuck on over here from another blog and I'm glad I did!
I'm not a coconut fan except in certain things, but these sound absolutely scrumptious!
I believe I have everything on hand to make this except the paraffin and coconut - guess what I'm writing on my grocery list right now?
This sounds so good but I am afraid I might eat all 70. But maybe to take to church so I would only eat about 10. Thank you so much. Great Christmas recipe.
