~I'm Still Here, Just Been Sooooo Busy!~

I haven't forgot about all y'all! This Southern Lady has been so busy! How do y'all find time to blog during this busy season? Shopping, wrapping gifts, parties to attend, banquets, and new family members...have been taking my time. Yes, I said new family members....you will see them at the end.... I haven't even put a dent in the wrapping yet, but I am working on it.

The other night we had our Church Christmas Banquet....these are a few pictures we took before leaving the house. That's Aaron above...Oh yeah, he just had a birthday too! He checks everyday to see if I have done his Birthday Post yet, and I think he's a little ticked at me because he said something to me the other day about the fact that I haven't done it yet. Alex didn't get to go, he had school.

That's me and the Mr. I have no idea why I look so frightened~!

This was a Christmas Tree in the foyer of the Banquet Hall that we had our Church Banquet at. I thought it was gorgeous!

*******And They Call It Puppy Love*******

These are the new family members! That's right 2 new puppies!!!!! How did this happen........

I think I have told you all before that hubby's family has a floor covering business.....well, the other morning......hubby went to work and just look at what someone had left out by the dumpster, 2 of the cutest puppies! Let me just make a long story short, by saying....IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

Let me explain, that I have not had the PET fever in many many years! Not that I didn't like animals....I grew up always with animals around, but I just never found a dog that I fell in love with, until these....I can't explain how or why...it just happened! So, I would like to introduce you to Hoss and Lucy.

This is Hoss, and he is a cut up...Mr Personality.....Look at these faces....couldn't you just love them too!!! We have had them to the Vet this week...they received their shots....Awww. They also received a clean bill of health! They are part Chow and not sure what else...maybe Lab, but we are not sure. They are Approx 8 weeks old.

Below~ is Lucy....she has gorgeous blue eyes and the sweetest personality!

Right now they are still at the business, staying in a fenced in area there. As soon as we can get a place for them to stay in at our house, then we will bring them home!

I can't stand to go out there to see them and have to leave them there!!!

So now you know what I have been up to! I have a feeling y'all will be seeing more of Hoss and Lucy.
If your not sick of seeing my Christmas decor...then I will post a few more pictures soon. I also am planning to get Aaron's Birthday post up soon and then I will be taking a break till after the first of the year.
I hope you all are enjoying the sights and sounds of the Season! I know that you gals have been doing some wonderful things...I have been around to visit when I have had a min. here and there!
Thanks to all of you that take the time to come by and visit. I have been seeing some new names, I will be around to visit with all the new folks very soon! Blessings to you all and Merry Christmas, Nancy

Love how all your gift wrapping matches the tree! I tried that this year but older daughter didn't like all the gold so went out and bought all colors of wrapping papers. Oh and puppies are ADORABLE! I'm hosting a cookie recipe exchange, please come participate.

I cannot believe someone would leave those adorable love bugs by the dumpster. There are some wacked people in this world. But these 2 little doggies have just found themselves a fantastic home. They are adorable. mishelle

I know what you mean about being busy. Yesterday in a hurry I wrote a blog post that had a bad link that one of my readers had to point out. I'm thinking I need to slow down with the posting.

Your whole family looks so cute. I can't believe someone could leave those puppies by the dumpster. Bless your heart for adopting them.
Glad to see you back.

Hoss and Lucy are so darn cute, I can see why you fell in love. God Bless you and your hubby for taking them, it is so cruel when people abuse and abandon animals. I guess you can tell I love dogs.

How did I miss this post???? Oh my goodness they are just the cutest darn things! How could anyone leave them behind! Unless of course it was just Santa leaving them for you! I can sure see the traces of chow in that last picture. I had chow chows for years and they are just the best dogs! What adorable little Christmas bundles they are. And so lucky that you found them!

nikkicrumpet said...

Well DUH! I thought the dogs were a seperate post lol..then I went back to comment on the Christmas party post...and I realized I was having a blonde moment. Not the first nor the last I'm sure. I'm not sure which is more beautiful....that gorgeous tree...or you all decked out in your party clothes!!!

I don't think you look scared at all - just excited! And I'm in love with the puppies. I do so want a dog but my husband keeps saying no. I know he's right because we want to do a 2 or 3 month mission trip and wouldn't have a place for one, but that doesn't mean they don't tug at my heartstrings! blessings, marlene

Hi Nancy,

Love all your Christmas pictures. Y'all look so gorgeous together in front of the tree as does your son!

I can't even believe someone just left those precious pups there (or was it Santa????). I am so glad you fell in love with them and they will have a forever home with you. I can't wait to see more posts about them.

Your "new family additions" are adorable. I'm sure they will keep you busy during their 'baby' stage but well worth it!!

Your blog is beautiful...photos, etc. and I love your new pups. I am a huge dog lover! I have two male Maltese that are almost 11 months old named Goodness and Merci.

I am always saddened by the things people can do and leaving two pups out there is terrible BUT God obviously kept them safe until your husband arrived to work and received the blessed surprise for your family!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
