~The Southern Market~

I'm starting to have withdrawals y'all! It's time to hit the road again, for a Christmas open house at the Southern Market. This place is a decoraters heaven! Full of the most fabulous items from several decor boutiques around town. This past weekend was their Christmas open house, and let me say, it was shoulder to shoulder people! I took as many pictures as I could, but it was too crowded to get some of the ones I wanted to get. Hope y'all enjoy the Southern Market. Click on pictures to enlarge!

This was a gorgeous booth...tons of blues, creams and neutral colors.

Notice the leopard pillow among the blues...I love it!

Love these canisters....Nancy, you don't need any more canisters!!!!

Gorgeous churches!

This is the cutest little girl's chair!

Look at these sweet lamp shades above and below!!! Easy to make!

I think this lamp shade very inspirational....I could make this for a lot less $

Each booth looks like a store and is decorated on the outside also.

Let's go in here and look around. See what I mean about the outside ...check out how this booth is decorated with the stone and the arch way.

I have bought several table top trees from this lady over the last few years. About 2 weeks before Christmas she marks them down cheep! I love to put a table top tree in every room, they are already decorated, so I don't have to take them apart or put them together....an easy fast decoration!

Loved, loved these!

I'm keeping my eye on this one! Loving these gold trees!

OOOH, look at the bench!

I don't know why this pic. turned out so light....I did not use a flash, didn't want to draw any attention to the fact I was taking pictures....You do remember why, don't you?

This turned out a little better.

I had this painting on my Christmas Wish List...till I saw the $$$ $499.00....WOW! It did have a certificate with it....WOW! Somebody was proud of that painting! Guess I would be too, if I could paint like that. It was gorgeous, but I really don't have a place to hang it...LOL

True for this Southern Home!

Cute Whimsical Tree!
Very cute!

I am ending this post with one of the cutest things I think I saw in the whole Market. I am in love with this little piggy! I know I could make something very close to this, if I could find a little pig! Hmmmm....I'll have to see what I can come up with.
I know you are wondering what did Shop buy???? I only bought 2 Topiary towels and a roll of ribbon. I will show you later.
I have several more shopping dates planned between now and Christmas. I think you will enjoy them. I want to add one more thing about shopping...I thought that with this recession we are in, that some of these places I have been going to would be empty of people....WOW, I was wrong, I couldn't believe how many folks are still getting out there and shopping! I want to say also that I am not buying things on these shopping trips and spending large amounts of money! I go a lot of places and never buy a thing...as you know. When I do buy, it is something that I feel is first, priced right and most of the time something I can use or give as a gift in the future. I guess, I have said all that to say this....I enjoy just going...I find it inspirational....like the last picture I showed you of the Pig in the iron bowl....I can make that for a fraction of the cost...I already have an iron bowl and I have some of that green moss, Oh, and I already have some of the berries also....I just need that PIG...and I will find one some time cheep! I would never want anyone to think that this gal has a shopping addiction...LOL
I will be busy the rest of this week with my own Christmas Decor, I will show you little bits and pieces as I gather everything from the Christmas stash! I start my decorating a little early, but I do so much, that if I don't get it done, there's just not enough time to enjoy it...it will take me about 2 weeks to get it all done. I know you are thinking 2 weeks...well, I don't work on every day, just on the days I can.
I want to thank everybody for stopping by and taking the time to go shopping with me! I hope everybody has a wonderful day! I will visit with you all later this evening. Blessings to you all, Nancy

You get the shopping queen award for the week! I want the black bench and the pillows. Your pig is darling also. I've been admiring pigs lately too.

Can't wait to see what you do to your home. My family would not know what hit them if I started Christmas decorating now. They think I'm insane for listening to the music.

Honey you would have had to hold my hand in there! I would have bought so many things!

And "all y'all" towel is perfect for my home too!

If you would like to join Trim the Tree Thursday where we are going to show off our holiday decor from any holiday comment on my blog! I would love for you to join! You could post pics from your shopping trips! I know I enjoy looking at all of your finds!

I took my very pregnant daughter shopping and all the Christmas decor was out but none compared to where you shop...While we were out my daughter kept saying, "I just love christmas" over and over AND OVER again. I'm afraid if she went shopping with you all the excitement of Christmas would put her into early labor! You really know how/where to shop!
I always enjoy my shopping trips with you!

Be still my heart! Oh my goodness, Nancy. I would love to visit this wonderful place!

I'm looking forward to your Christmas decorating. I started a little bit, today. Couldn't help myself.

Nancy, I had to laugh at your comment on my post today! LOL! Why? 'Cause YOU are the Master Decorator! ...honest! :) I steal your ideas all the time! Well, let's just say I "borrow" them! LOL! So, you are more than welcome to copy anything I do too! I'm flattered! I do have an idea for my dining room that I hope will work! It was really pretty last year with a silver and celery green motif, (lots of bling!), but since I have remodeled, none of that will work this year. I can't wait to see your Christmas decorations! I know I will be gaining inspiration from you! Thank you for the comment! ~Rhonda :)

Lucky you to have such beautiful places to shop. My favorites were the gingerbread men, the little pillows with the red foo-foo's and the bench.

I have just about finished decorating my house. All I have left is the outside which hubby does and the big tree and a few odds and ends. I will take pictures to, but its really not that impressive. I feel I'm still learning. I did send you my address, again, I'm so excited! Its my first time winning in blogland!

Thank you for taking us shopping with you. I'm with you. . . I just window shop and browse. I would much rather see what's out there and make it myself, or repurpose something else I already have for this purpose. To buy, buy, and buy things I really don't need I just feel is not being a good stewart with the Lord's money. Just my opinion :) Believe me, I've been shopping with friends who purchase everything that catches their eye!! I always tell my husband he should be thanksful I'm not a spender, but a saver and a thrifter.

This is a beautiful post! I wish we had a Southern Market here in Connecticut! Everything is so gorgeous. I love the second lamp with the black ribbon and pom poms and the green ribbon trim. I have a tan lampshade like it. Great idea and I think I might just have to go buy some ribbon and trim. Love it. hugs, Ellen
