~Enchanting Window Party~

It's a Window Party over at Cielo's http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/ I am joining in at the last minute... Cielo is hosting a party about enchanting windows and there are some great windows over there to look at......thanks Cielo for hosting a great party. I am posting a couple of windows in my house.....they are identical windows....one is in the Laundry room and the other one is in the Master Bathroom. Hope you enjoy the Party.

The one above is in the Laundry Room. A friend of mine did the Painting around the top of it. I will show how I did this Mistreatment below.
This window above is in the Master Bath....it is inside the water closet....(I think that's what they are called???) That area is just too small to photograph an overall picture. I picked these windows when we was building.....not thinking about privacy at the time.....only thinking about how beautiful I thought they were. The one in the Laundry room does not need to have anything on it for privacy, but the one in the Master Bath does.....I looked and looked for weeks...couldn't find a thing.....so I came up with my own window mistreatment...hey, I need to send these to The Nester...lol. The grids pop right out, making it easy to put something behind them...When we moved, I needed something right then....I couldn't wait to make something or have something made....these battenburg table toppers was something I already had...and boy, did they do the trick.....you can see in the next couple of pictures how I did them....Very Easy!

I had intentions of changing them to something that was custom made....but I really like the way they looked and received a lot of compliments on them....so I will keep them like this until...I change my mind. Here's a picture of the way they look from the outside.

IF you have time go over by http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/ check out all the windows, there are some Gorgeous Windows. Hope everyone has a great day....Talk to you all later. Nancy

Next post will be Part 2 of the 9400 sq ft home, and later this week I will post some of my fall decorations...if I can get in the mood for fall, that is....lol:)

Hi Nancy! What a fantastic solution to a tricky window. Very beautiful inside and out; I adore the painting around it too. Just gorgeous. Now I need to catch up on what else you've been up to. I did enjoy my magazines this weekend and glad you had a chance to stop in. By the way, how is your son liking college? You may have posted that already; If I remember right he is studying criminal justice like my daughter??? She is enjoying it!Have a great day - Jeannette

What a beautiful window. The lace looks so pretty on it too. It looks good with or without the lace. I also love the way it looks from outside against the brick.
Wishing you a great day,
