~Weekend Finds~

Okay Girls, After seeing what wonderful finds you all have been finding at yard sales and such, I thought I would go Saturday morning to a couple, I hadn't been a long time. The weather was very nice over the weekend here, highs around 83, very unusual for this time of year.....so why not enjoy a few sales. Later that day, I HAD to make that dreaded trip to Walmart, there just happens to be a Ross store in the same shopping center as Walmart, so I took a detour into Ross. Yes, I found another lamp I just had to purchase, it is animal print and I am nuts about animal prints and it was only $14.99, had no idea where it would go, could not think of a place I could put it, but I said to myself, "If you can't find a place for, you can always take it back", so that settled the dilemma, in the buggy it went....(yes, in TN they're called buggies...LOL:) I have set this lamp everywhere, for now it is staying here on the secretary....tomorrow, it will probably be somewhere else.
Love to look through the books at Ross and Marshall's. I found Oprah's Guide to life, bought it for $6.99 and the book below..... Ageless Beauty. Girls, aging is one thing that scares me crazy! It has become an obsession. When I saw the title of this book, I knew, I had to have it...for $3.99, I didn't have much to lose. Last night I read almost the whole book.....I love it! There is a Biological Age Test in the front of the book, I took it....added up my score, I am 45-49 years old.....not good at all, I am only 39....decided, its time to make some life changes!!! One of the many changes I have GOTTA stay out of that sun....so hard for me because I love the sun and love to be outside, next Walmart trip....I am buying some good sunscreen!!! This book is a must for all you gals hitting that 40 and over mark, just about 4 mos for me, it is full of exercise tips, diet tips, detox tips, and beauty tips from hair to toes!
This picture below is what we call....One great find....it is my yard sale find, it was brand new still in package, had a price tag from Dillard's for $30.00, I paid $5.00. It is the Aurthur Court name brand, very heavy, cheese/fruit tray with pewter bunnies, and it came with bunny knife. I just love bunnies.
Hope all of you have been having a great weekend! This week I have a couple of great finger food recipes to post. We are also fixing up our back porch with some new furniture, pillows and new outdoor carpet, I will be posting before and after pictures of that, and next Saturday, I will be joining the Pink Saturday post....Y'all are going to get to meet my niece Emily and get a tour of her Beautiful Pink Bedroom....I can't wait!!! Be sure and come back! Nancy

Oh, oh I LOVE that lamp and the bunny cheese server....too cute!!!! You found some great stuff....I always enjoy browsing TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc. when I find one. Can't wait to see your back porch re-do.

Great finds! I found a new lamp yesterday too, stop over at my blog and check it out. Does the re-do mean you are selling the couch and chair yet?
Take care :)

Nancy...you did GOOD!!! I love the bunnies and the lamp!!!

Oh yes...Buggies! I'd almost forgotten.

Just like Tobaggan! I couldn't believe it when, at church, my neighbor admitted to running through my back yard before church wearing her jammies and a tobaggan!
I couldn't begin to imagine how she could have WORN a tobaggan!! Then, seconds later, a young boy, with his parents, arrived at church and his mother told him to remove his tobaggan! I watched...and he removed, what to me was a stocking cap!! LOL!!! I laugh about that to this day!!

Good Morning Nancy!

Thanks so much for visiting and for your lovely comments about my master bedroom. Gee what a difference posting pictures here instead of "Rate my Space". You ladies are all so supportive and it really warmed my heart. I was also glad to follow you home and see how great your blog looks! I love that background and the color combo! I can sure see why you didn't pass up on that lamp...and at that price! And I'm thinking the bunny knife was worth the price alone...I don't think we have any Ross stores here...bummer!
Have a great day...and if you don't mind I'm gonna snoop around your blog some more :]

Good morning Nancy :)

The lamp and the bunny cheese server are darling!

I'm afriad to take that age test! I'm going to be 39 too. It would probably say I'm 100 years old LOL

Wow. You got some really great deals. CUTE bunnies!!

I don't even want to take that horrible biological age test... I'd be afraid of what it said! lol

Hi Nancy! You have a lovely family! I love lamps too and do the same thing when I go to Hobby Lobby or Wal-mart! I don't even know where I'll put things when I buy them in the store and many times really don't have a place to put them but get them anyway! Glad I found your page! We used to get up to east TN a lot but not so often anymore. Looking forward to visiting you again!

Nancy, so glad you gave yardsaling a try! You know I love that bunny thing you found...precious. And your trip to Ross was fun too, the lamp looks perfect in your home.

I love that lamp! I want to see more of your secretary!!! I just bought one a few weeks ago and I haven't put a thing in it! Guess I should start with a cute lamp like yours. That Arthur Court is SO collectible. A lot of the girls around here choose a pattern and buy EVERY piece. I went to a coffee one day and everything was served from or on something Arthur Court. There was even an Arthur Court soup tureen full of crab bisque. Don't want to know what the tureen cost!!

Nancy, thanks for stopping by my blog and giving me your opinion.

I love, love, love your new lamp. I am an animal print FREAK!! I love your way of thinking. If I find something that I like & don't really need it, I always say to myself "you can bring it back", which rarely happens. HA!!

Oh and I do love your Arthur Court with those sweet little bunnies.

We call them buggies in AR too! Have a wonderful week and please stop by again.
